First post on the blog!

Well here we go! First post on our new blog! After having seen the amount of people setting up training blogs I thought it was a great idea! We have three dogs, all who love agility.

First, and the one to really get me started is Maisie. Maisie is handled by me and although she is an unusual breed for agility, at only 3 years old she has done really well so far. People are always surprised by her! She has also had her fair share of medical problems, which makes me even more proud of her. She has taught me so much, not just about agility and training, but life in general! Maisie has been a fantastic dog to start out with in agility, as she always gives 110%. Couldn't ask for more dedication or effort from her! What a little star she is, my special girl.

Next we have Scooby, a Collie cross Lab handled by my husband Paul (and occasionally me!). Originally Scooby was my dog to run, but Paul caught the agility bug through watching and stole him! He was a rescue dog, who has had a lot of issues to overcome, but is now doing well. Paul and Scooby are in Novice in Jersey, and won out of Grade 1 this Summer at their first UK trip together to KC International. Although he looks like a lab, the brain in there is most certainly collie! The lab on the outside is just a disguise!!

Last (but by no means least) we have young Smudge. And he is a devil!!!! He has just started training and is my chance to put into action everything I have learned over the past few years! So far so good, although he is hard work! I will be posting training updates on the blog. That is one of the reasons I wanted to set this up.......what better way of recording his progress! He is as bright as a button and a real challenge. I am looking forward to running him properly!

Looking forward to writing lots of updates!
